At BEYC we believe that our size is one of our best strengths. We keep class sizes small so that children get the very best attention and support.
BEYC was created with the aim of recreating a Kindergarten and Pre School in the U.K.
This means that many of our educational resources are indeed sourced from the U.K. They have been handpicked by our teacher to support their planning and teaching and hence allow children to develop important skills through play as well as through class teaching.
Our classrooms are equiped with the very best in teaching resources, technology, Interactive SMART boards and Interactive software, Sensory Resources, large selection of progressive reading books, fiction and non-fiction books.
We take health and saftely very seriously and this has resulted in;
-a very soft "play safe' rubber playground
-a 'natural' salt water shallow swimming pool
-a fully padded soft play room with balancing equipment and ball pool.
Our kindergarten teachers are fully trained and qualified teachers from the U.K. They have a great deal of experience in the both the private and government schools in the U.K.
Our curriculum is adapted for foreign and especially Thai learners. This puts an increased emphasis on pronunciation and vocabulary.
We follow the U.K.'s No.1 Maths and Literacy scheme - ABACUS- which is fully supported with our Interactive SMART boards and Colour workbooks for the children.
We also follow the KinderIQ programme and our children receive daily IQ challenges to develop theiir intelligence. We are able to prepare children for some of the very best Thai and International schools and give detailed assessment on every child's IQ.
Kindergarten children have daily opportunities to practise and develop their ICT skills on the classroom computers, whilst using our educational software for Phonics and Maths.
We have extremely high expectations of all of our children and thouroughly assess English Maths and Thai at the end of each topic and term.
Children start the British Foundation Stage Curriculum as soon as they are able and this means that our children make speedy progress especially in Reading and Writing in both Thai and English.
We also offer unique support for parents wishing to teach and help their children learn at home.
In the Parents Area there is a wealth of educational support materials to help your child learn at home. You can find free kindergarten worksheets for phonics and maths as well as online maths games and phonics games and popular phonics songs too. Our aim is to share as much of the teaching materials that we use in class with our parents. We even aim to provide online reading books for daily reading at home, so keep watching this space.
We have links to downloadable phonics resources and printable mateials. Our younger children start by learning Jolly Phonics and there are links to the Jolly Phonics Songs here too. For older children we follow Rigby Fast Phonics and there are many downloadble worksheets which support this teaching.
For parents who want to get very involved in their child's early literacy, we have added lists of decodable words and tricky words or sight words in order that they should be taught.
